Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League Monthly Meeting – The Astronomy League meeting is held on the second Thursday of each month in the Clyde W. Tombaugh Education Center and is free to attend. Museum staff and sometimes special guest speakers discuss topics ranging from public observing to off-site adventures. Holiday on the Hill: Space-Themed Family Fun and Community Support — The NM Museum of Space History invites families to a festive, educational event on December 14th from 10am-2pm. Visitors can enjoy free admission by donating two canned food items (per person), supporting local community food banks. Children will explore space-themed activities on the museum's 2nd floor. New Mexico Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League Star Party — This is a public star party supported by the Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League and Museum Educators. Along with the normal array of telescopes, there will be big screen live viewing of astronomic objects as well as the usual visual observing. This event is free to the public and will be held at the NMMSH Outdoor Observatory in the upper parking lot. “Discovery Night” at the Museum of Space History is Wednesday, February 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on the second floor of the museum. “Discovery Night” will highlight the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation (ISHFF), Women in Aviation International (WAI), the all new STARBASE Holloman Program, and the many exciting educational opportunities that the museum’s education program offers.
