DESCRIPTION:Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League Star Party: “Serpents and Scorpions”\nLocation:  NMMSH Outdoor Observatory\, Upper Parking Lot\nDate & Time:  July 13th at 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm \nVisitors can enjoy the summer sky as a museum employee shares stories about the southern constellations. What do coconut trees have to do with the sky’s feistiest zodiac sign? Find out be joining the Astronomy league in viewing celestial bodies such as Saturn and Jupiter. Event begins at 8:30 in the New Mexico Museum of Space History outdoor observatory.  Event will be held rain or shine. In case of poor visibility\, activities will be moved to the Tombaugh Dome and Planetarium. \nThis is a public star party supported by the Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League and Museum Educators.  Along with the normal array of telescopes\, there will be big screen live viewing of astronomic objects as well as the usual visual observing.  This event is free to the public and will be held at the NMMSH Outdoor Observatory in the upper parking lot.  For more information\, email msh.info@dca.nm.gov or visit our website at www.nmspacemuseum.org
