DESCRIPTION:Veterans\, Active-Duty Personnel\, National Guard\, First Responders\, and Families Invited\nVeterans Day at the NM Museum of Space History\nWhat: Veterans\, active-duty service members\, National Guard personnel\, and first responders are invited to attend the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo free on the federally observed holiday Friday\, November 10\, on Veterans Day\, Saturday\, November 11\, and Sunday\, November 12. \nWhen: Friday\, November 10\, and Saturday\, November 11\, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm\, and on Sunday\, November 12\, from noon to 5:00 pm. \nWhere: New Mexico Museum of Space History\, Alamogordo. \nWhy: In carrying on a tradition that began in 2016\, the museum includes law enforcement\, firefighters and first responders to the list of free attendees. DESCRIPTION:What: The Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League is hosting a free Star Party for everyone who loves to stargaze. Astronomy League members will point out Saturn\, Jupiter\, and other wonders of the early winter night sky. Selected objects will be shown live on large monitors to make viewing easier for children and the seeing impaired. \nWhen: Saturday\, Nov. 11\, 2023\, starting at 5:00 pm \nWhere: NEW LOCATION!! In the upper parking lot at the observatory complex. \nWhy: Because it’s fun to star gaze! Bring yourself and your family\, we will bring the telescopes! If you have an interest in astronomy or are a telescope owner\, consider joining the museum’s Astronomy League. New members are always welcome\, membership forms will be available at the star party.
