DESCRIPTION:April 9\, 2022 — The New Mexico Museum of Space History’s Science Saturday at Pizza9 in the White Sands Mall “Exploring the Universe: Orbiting Objects” — This hands-on activity invites visitors to experiment with different sized and weighted balls on a stretchy fabric gravity well. The activity models gravitational attraction in space. Participants investigate how changing conditions can cause phenomena like stellar wobble and planet formation. \nScience Saturday is a monthly presentation by the museum’s education department that offers free hands-on STEM based science programs to kids in grades 2-7. The program runs from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and all building materials are provided free. Science Saturday is held on the second Saturday of each month. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.  \nThe New Mexico Museum of Space History\, a Smithsonian Affiliate\, is a division of the NM Department of Cultural Affairs.
