Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League Star Party Location: NMMSH Outdoor Observatory, Upper Parking Lot 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM Theme: The Gorgon’s Offspring
Join museum staff as they recount the stories of Pegasus, Perseus, Andromeda, and Cassiopeia. Pegasus has been portrayed as a horse by many cultures, find out the backstory behind the famous winged horse in the sky. Meanwhile, the NMMHS Astronomy League will be telescoping objects in the sky such as Saturn, the moon, and of course, the Andromeda Galaxy. Event begins at 7:30 in the New Mexico Museum of Space History outdoor observatory. In case of poor visibility, activities will be moved to the Tombaugh Dome and Planetarium.
