une 2025 Stem Camp: Rockets and Drones

Alamogordo, NM — NMSU Alamogordo, in collaboration with educators from the New Mexico Museum of Space History and sponsored by the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation, proudly presents the Rocket & Drone STEM Camp. This exciting opportunity invites middle school students, from those entering 6th grade to those completing 8th grade, to explore the fascinating worlds of rocketry and drone technology.

Camp Details:

  • Week 1 (Rockets): June 2-5
  • Week 2 (Drones): June 9-13
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Location: NMSU Alamogordo
  • Cost: $25 per week or $40 for both weeks

During the first week, campers will dive deep into the world of rockets. Participants will learn about the history and design of rockets, create their model, and then launch it! Last year, NM Museum of Space History educator Marie De Leon Sanchez shared, “The campers were thrilled to be able to make and launch their rockets.” In the second week, students will explore drone technology, enhancing their understanding of how drones work and learning how to fly them. The camp will culminate in a day filled with exciting drone flying challenges.

Lunch is provided for all participants. Spaces are limited, so act quickly to secure your spot!
