ALAMOGORDO, NM – The New Mexico Museum of Space History is pleased to announce that the Launch Pad Lecture series will return to the New Horizons Dome Theater, starting with the April 4, 2025, lecture. Mackette Kark will present One Orbit, Endless Impact: Yuri Gagarin’s Vostok 1 Mission at 9:00 a.m.

Uncover the remarkable story of how one Soviet cosmonaut’s 108-minute flight forever altered human history, showcasing the extraordinary courage that propelled humanity’s first steps into the cosmic unknown.
