Snow Storm Causes Morning Closure at Museum and Theater

(Alamogordo, New Mexico, December 29, 2018) - The New Mexico Museum of Space History and New Horizons Dome Theater are closed today until noon, Saturday, December 29, due to a severe snow storm in the region.

"Because of snow and ice leading to unsafe driving conditions on Highway 2001, we have decided to close both the Museum and Theater until noon today," said Museum Executive Director Chris Orwoll. "We do ask visitors not to attempt to drive up the highway to the museum unless the road is clear of ice and snow." The highway is expected to be clear by noon.

Visitors are encouraged to check the museum's Facebook page for updates on the status of the museum and theater.
