Explore Your Sky with Starlab

Did you know that that the constellations are really inside your head? That Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn sometimes seem to go in reverse? Find out what’s up in the night sky when our Starlab planetarium brings the universe to your school. Includes Sizing Up Your Solar System. Titles are:

  • Astronomy: Constellations | Deep Sky Objects
  • History: Native American Beliefs | Early Greek Beliefs | Early Egyptian Culture

Inside the Starlab dome, students can observe the entire galaxy and study the Solar System from any point on Earth.

Note: The dome is 20 feet wide (takes half a basketball court and requires a high ceiling) and generally seats one class at a time (or two K-1 classes). The domes are not soundproof, so please do not schedule other activities in the same room.

Grades K-12. Approximately 3 hours. This includes two instructors to conduct the program.
